Overview:

Work in conjunction with the FT team on ensuring Canada’s Wonderland provide a safe and secure experience for our guests and associates by providing excellent leadership and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, teach and mentor excellent guest services skills to support park safety and security goals

  • Provide leadership of enforcement, security and access control programs

  • Administration of the Park’s lost & found, Charger back program

  • Assist with Park Patrol tasks and duties as required

  • Patrol and provide second level backup response to in-park security situations/incidents.

  • Provide Departmental Duty Coverage and act as Security liaison with operating departments and local law enforcement during security incidents.

  • Issue trespass notices as required related to incidents

  • Monitor and respond to site-specific fire and safety systems (sprinkler and fire alarm systems)

  • Hire, train, develop and mentor all associates to ensure in and off season expectations are met

  • Provide first response to first aid calls off hours and co-ordinate departmental injury claims

  • Monitor and respond to security and/or environmental alarms

  • Maintain park key inventory and liaise with departments

  • Monitor Health & Safety programs and report violations of safety policy

  • Coordinate and assist with special security / traffic events (fireworks, Canada Day, etc.)

  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a post-secondary Law Enforcement program or combination with equivalent work experience

  • Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License, driver’s license and First Aid/CPR certificates

  • Must pass mandatory “Use of Force Training” including handcuffs, baton and conflict resolution / MOAB

  • Possess excellent analytical problem-solving skills

  • Supervisory experience is an asset

  • Ability to effectively deal with stressful situations

  • Present a passionate professional manner and positive attitude

  • Provide CSA approved steel toed black boots

  • Be available to work a variety of rotating shifts, including midnights, on weekends and holidays
