You will support Client Portfolio Managers and Senior Associates with investment management proposals, database content management and projects with a focus towards continuous improvement. You will be responsible for updating financial models, creating asset class materials for the institutional client audience (i.e., client presentations, pitchbooks, commentaries). You’ll respond to client and consultant informational inquires that helps to deepen client relationships and build upon CIBC Asset Management’s reputation as a trusted advisor.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada.Duration of term: Winter 2025 term (January-April)How you’ll succeedClient engagement – You’re responsible for the completion of client deliverables efficiently and working to ensure service standards, policies and procedures are consistently and effectively applied. These deliverables include Client onboarding, new account maintenance, new account opening, Ad-hoc client support, Offboarding and account closing, Monthly, Quarterly and ad-hoc client reporting and presentations, Submission of trade instructions for processing and Compliance and Due Diligence Questionnaires from clientsProblem Solving – Under the supervision of Senior Associate, Institutional Client Solutions, contribute to the client solutioning process in completing customized Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs). As a contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Leveraging technology – Under the supervision of a Senior Associate, Institutional Client Solutions, update qualitative content, and review quantitative content in the global investment management databases.Organizational skills – Work in collaboration with institutional team on ad-hoc continuous improvement projects, including operational and technological business improvement initiatives to achieve efficiencies and improve the overall client experience. All applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls and communication materials that are issued must adhere to the policies that are applicable to our business unit.Relationship Building – Work alongside Client Portfolio Managers to support the creation of asset class materials for the institutional client audience, including client presentations, pitchbooks, commentaries, and other ad-hoc projects for clients and prospective clients. This role will require communication with external consultants, clients and prospective clients for the purposes of responding to specific information requests. You will participate in client/consultant/prospective client meetings. On a regular and ongoing basis, this position interacts with all functional areas of the firm. It contributes to the support of institutional client relationships, and to the growth of the institutional asset management business and gives you the ability to collaborate with colleagues to meet the requirements of high quality materials and communications.Who you areYou put our clients first.
