Location: Statistics, 24-29 St Giles’, Oxford, OX1 3LBThis exciting position is an opportunity to join the Oxford Protein Informatics Group (OPIG) on a permanent basis, developing and supporting the group’s world-leading open source computational tools, which are in use across academia and industry. Several such tools have been taken in-house by pharmaceutical companies, and this role includes supporting these companies with deployment, maintenance, future developments and integration with their own in-house systems and requirements. The postholder will expand the external impact of these platforms as well as developing and implementing future strategy. The role will also involve carrying out research and tools development in one of the research group’s areas.The successful candidate will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil with post-qualification research experience, including prior experience of collaboratively developing software tools and significant experience with coding in a wide variety of languages and platforms.
