We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the Logistics Industry, based in Mississauga, Ontario. The role involves supporting our existing team with a variety of administrative tasks and coordination responsibilities. This position offers a combination of remote and on-site work.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing and coding freight billing invoices, using Microsoft Excel and other tools
  • Handle administrative tasks related to carrier portal reviews and shipment details
  • Collaborate with the Customs and Traffic Coordinator in completing custom forms
  • Engage in regular communication with freight forwarders to manage shipment coordination
  • Conduct inquiries on customer charge back and department codes
  • Utilize organizational skills to maintain accurate records and perform data entry tasks
  • Respond to and manage inbound and outbound calls as required
  • Schedule appointments and meetings, utilizing Microsoft Outlook and other tools
  • Handle email correspondence with professionalism and efficiency
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records
  • Expertise in handling both inbound and outbound calls
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resolving issues efficiently
  • Ability to manage email correspondence professionally and promptly
  • Prior experience in scheduling appointments and managing calendars
  • Knowledge of the logistics industry would be advantageous
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and oral
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Experience in answering inbound calls and providing support to clients or customers
  • Familiarity with standard office administrative practices and procedures.
