Are you a passionate and compassionate educator looking to make a positive impact on the life of a young person? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a high-functioning pupil with autism in a Year 4 classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to a pupil with autism, ensuring their academic and social needs are met.
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the pupil’s emotional well-being.
- Encourage and support the pupil’s participation in school activities and social interactions.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs.
- A strong understanding of autism and its impact on learning and behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach.
- A commitment to providing high-quality support.
