Start Date: ImmediatelyWe are seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a dedicated team in a Special School in Chelmsford. This full-time position offers a temporary to permanent contract, providing an excellent opportunity to support students with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.As an LSA, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualised learning support for students with a range of needs. Your role will involve helping students engage with the curriculum, building their confidence, and assisting in their personal development.   • Provide classroom support to students with special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and strategies.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Assist with the implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and staff.
  • Help create a safe and positive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A positive and empathetic approach to supporting students.
