Release Date: Thursday 10 October 2024The post holder will be responsible for supporting the marketing and promotion of Aston University’s research activities. The role focuses on raising the profile of research outputs, increasing visibility, and contributing to enhancing Aston’s reputation in research, innovation, and knowledge exchange. Working closely with academic and research colleagues, the Marketing Officer will identify impactful stories, create content, and implement marketing activities that promote Aston’s research excellence to a variety of audiences.Educated degree level or equivalent, the successful candidate will have experience of: digital marketing communication; producing a variety of marketing materials ; and effective planning, implementation and measurement of campaigns. Knowledge of digital marketing and communication techniques, HE and university research is also essential.The salary being offered for this role is below the minimum threshold for required to sponsor new applicants to the Skilled Worker route. However, Aston University may be able to sponsor the successful candidate if they:

  • Are under 25 years old
  • Hold a PhD that is relevant to the role
  • Have held a Student or Graduate visa in the last 2 years
  • Are already in the UK with a Tier 2 or Skilled Worker visa
