The Commercial Contracts Analyst is responsible for providing pricing & deal structuring, and contracts support to the Commercial Sales team at Cepheid. This role is an integral part of the Commercial Organization. The individual will work with Sales, Business Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide deal and contracting expertise in negotiating a variety of contracts.
This position is on the Business Operations team in the Commercial Organization and will be located remotely. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Structure contracting deals, draft, redline, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including, but not limited to master agreements, placement agreements, pricing agreements, distributor agreements, government agreements, and amendments.
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and other departments to solve moderately complex contracting problems.
- Undertake additional duties and projects to contribute towards various initiatives.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of related work experience OR Master’s Degree with 1+ years of related work experience.
- Experience in pricing analysis, deal structuring, contracts drafting and redlining, and negotiating various commercial contracts in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of healthcare fraud and abuse laws, rules, regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry codes, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and HIPAA.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Contracting with hospitals and distributors in the US.
- Salesforce.com, Contracting Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Price Quoting tools
- Process improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5 Whys, etc.

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
