Business Analyst in Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team at a global bank who should be comfortable going onsite 3x a week to Downtown Toronto. This candidate will be joining a growing team in Toronto for an ongoing regulatory project related to transaction reporting at the bank. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to bridge the gap between operational users and technical teams. We are looking for someone who is confident in maintaining regular communication with stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and clarity on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  Conduct meetings with operational users to understand their needs and gather Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) from operational users.

  Convert BRDs into technical specifications in Jira to facilitate developer work.

  Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and documentation of requirements.

  Assist in regulatory reporting processes and execution of project.

  Provide ongoing support to the development team by clarifying requirements and addressing any issues that arise during the development process.

Skills and Requirements

5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst working in a banking/financial services environement.

  Strong understanding of regulatory processes and regulatory requirements.

  Excellent experience with requirements gathering and converting BRDs into technical specs in Jira.

  Experience participating in the testing phase to ensure solutions meeting requirements and regulatory standards.

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally, knowledge share, and problem solve. Understanding of Python code is advantageous and will help in supporting the development teams. null
