HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Document Information Tech provides an organized documented information process so that our customers consistently receive what they need or expect. Ensures the information available for team members is organized and complete to achieve their tasks. This includes supporting, creating and maintaining master data for materials for the management and distribution of documents, and leading system improvement initiatives.
THE DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities Include:
Material Master Data Management:

Set up and update materials in SAP based on product line and material type.

Gather information to create/update BOMs, product routes, and production versions in SAP.

Manage technical production databases, and summarize and provide specific data upon request.
Documentation Creation and Management:
-
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation updates.

Create media (graphics, images) as needed, edit documents for clarity, and ensure compliance with internal standards.

Manage document approval processes, including routing approvals and updating physical/digital copies.

Maintain and update documentation webpages.
CMA Requests/Engineering Change Notices:

Submit and manage CMA requests for material master corrections, creations, or updates.

Handle CMA requests for silkscreen artwork materials.
Project Support:

Support new or modified product projects, coordinate mass updates to BOMs, product routes, and production versions.

Lead documentation process overhaul initiatives.
Auditing, Troubleshooting, and Reporting:
-
Audit SAP data, BOMs, and databases to ensure accuracy.

Identify and resolve inconsistencies, monitor KPIs, and troubleshoot documentation system issues.
Continuous Improvement and Training:

Develop and update training materials, train users on documentation systems, and assist with system use.

Lead projects to improve documentation systems, address cost reduction initiatives, and ensure HTML/CSS compliance for webpages.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
-
Technical college diploma or equivalent experience.
-
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
-
Experience with document control, editing, and technical writing
-
Knowledge of material master data management processes
-
Ability to create and maintain webpages
-
Photo and video editing experience preferred.
-
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office
-
Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS
-
Experience using an IDE (Dreamweaver or other)
-
Intermediate knowledge of ERP system, SAP preferred
-
Intermediate knowledge of Adobe software for photo
-
Knowledge of photo and video equipment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Strong organizational skills
-
Self-starter, able to prioritize tasks, and work with minimal supervision
Below is a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000 CAD to $75,000 CAD.
