Join the #TEAMNORDEX and shape the future of energy with us.Position Summary:As a Senior Director of Project Management in Canada for Nordex, you will play a critical role in overseeing the successful management and execution of multiple projects in compliance with customer contractual requirements. You will also serve as a representative of Nordex in the Canadian market, creating, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with Canadian authorities, contractors, clients, and unions. In addition to leading the Project Management team, creating action plans and timetables aligned with the company’s strategy and guiding principles, and ensuring compliance with project contractual and commercial requirements, you will also be responsible for representing Nordex in the Canadian market. This will involve building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, negotiating, and ensuring that Nordex is well-positioned to compete in the Canadian market.Responsibilities:Lead the Project Management team in successful project execution for the Projects in Canada, in compliance with customer/contractual requirements.Organize the team and create action plans and timetables aligned with the company’s strategy, guiding principles, customer requirements, and expectations.Ensures and improves compliance with the HSE and Quality internal policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with project commercial requirements including invoicing, claims management, and risk and opportunities within the project portfolio.Ensure compliance with financial commitments with the shareholders, related to contribution margin (Fiscal year budget) and cash collection plan.Lead the negotiation of any change order or agreements with the customers, supported by the PMs and the organization.Control local costs, the realization of subcontracts, and related purchase orders.Define and implement solutions in cooperation with any Department within NordexImplement a reporting system to monitor project status (customer, financial, safety, resources, and production) closely.Provide continuous feedback and improvements for discrepancies in design and delivery, internally and externally.Refine policies and processes to further streamline the project execution process to ensure competitiveness and enhance margins.Support the Projects Team Members with sub-contractors, contractors, local unions, authorities, engineering, construction, and transportation entities, as required for the project’s success, resulting in agreements, contracts, and others.Coordinate logistics requirements across competing project needs.Select, train, develop, coach, motivate, and conduct performance reviews for the team.Develop successful collaboration and coordination with the Global Functions for all project issues; forecast future needs related to projects by being up to date on industry and economic developments.Controls local costs, the realization of subcontracts, and related purchase orders.Request and implement technical solutions in cooperation with the Engineering Department.Coordinates logistics requirements across project execution needs.End-to-end delivery, with a high focus on quality, Project availability, and the consequential improvement on Services business unit and Customer satisfaction.Direct Reports:No Direct Reports but Functional Reports (all the PM organizations involved in Canada Projects)Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline required (or equivalent work experience), advanced degree a plus5-7 years of experience in Project Management; concentration in the wind energy industry and construction is highly desirableProject Management extensive experience.Management and leadership experience required.Excellent relationship-building skills.Ability to adapt in a growing, fast-paced, global organizationStrengths will include excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and positive leadership traits, along with in-depth knowledge and use of negotiation skillsDemonstrated successful interaction with key customer executives, development and construction managementPrior experience managing multiple large-scale construction projects and negotiating contractsAbility to move and manipulate up to 23kg (50 pounds), climb vertical ladders, and work at heights above 100+ meters (300+ feet).Ability to meet specific weight limits of 120 kg (265lbs) max in order to utilize climbing equipment.Working understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and contract implementationFluency in English and French. Spanish is a plus.Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre-employment screening requirements.Must be able to work in Canada with no company sponsorship and must have the ability to obtain a US passport.Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.Ability to travel to domestic and international locations to project sites and on business as required (70% to 90% travel) and ability to obtain a passport.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
