This Business Analyst position is technical, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions and involved with projects from inception through implementation. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying technical solutions, and bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, development teams, and IT departments to ensure the successful implementation and optimization of retail systems.Our team is fast-paced and taking on exciting new initiatives to support a fast-growing business.   • Effectively translates business requirements to functional and technical requirements
  • Defines minimum feature set, acceptance criteria, user acceptance tests
  • Engages in design and impact assessments
  • Contributes to planning and implementation for new applications and systems
  • Performs configuration of application components
  • Engages with engineering team to design technical solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of technical solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Assists in testing and participates in test phases prior to UAT.
  • Updates technical specs based on testing, prioritized defects or post-release lessons learned
  • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain reports to support business decision-making and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Supports communication for application/system deployment
  • Works to ensure application availability and SLAs for operational readiness

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with mobile applications in the retail industry.
  • Experience creating technical specifications and documentation for large, complex projects
  • Strong understanding of retail systems, including POS, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and technologies, such as SQL, Excel, and BI tools.
  • Knowledge of various project lifecycle methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation, Container Management, Application Performance Engineering, monitoring, alerting, AWS Services and Architecture
  • Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts for a variety of solutions and influence technical discussions and decisions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks and to coordinate activities with a high sense of urgency
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation

The typical hiring range for this position is from $105,800 – $132,200 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
