This position involves teaching KS3 and GCSE Religious Education, with responsibilities including planning, marking, and ensuring high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.This welcoming and inclusive school has excellent transport links from both Bradford and Wakefield. With a strong commitment to academic and personal development, the school fosters a supportive and collaborative environment where staff and students alike are encouraged to excel.Role and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to KS3 and GCSE students, inspiring curiosity and discussion.
- Prepare students for assessments and support their understanding of various worldviews and ethical issues.
- Take responsibility for marking and providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a well-rounded and coherent curriculum.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that fosters respect, open-mindedness, and a love of learning.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
- Experience teaching RE at KS3 and GCSE level.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and planning skills.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Should be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
