Job Title Manager Health Economics & Outcomes ResearchJob DescriptionManager Health Economics & Outcomes Research (Cambridge, MA. USA)You will generate HEOR real-world evidence to drive patient access to diverse innovations from Philips businesses being part of the global Health Economics team within the Health Economics, Market Access, and Reimbursement Department.Your role:Partner with Global Clinical and Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access teams to execute strategic HEOR activities to support the successful market access and adoption of Philips devices and solutions.Apply advanced statistical methods (regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and mitigation of data imbalances) on real world data. You will access data from claims databases and other sources and processes in compliance with best practices in research and reporting.Leverage our in-house databases, along with public information as required, to independently fulfill requests on healthcare utilization, to include descriptive statistics on counts, frequencies, and/or means, on a range of technologies and disease areas. Proactively engage with health care professionals, senior colleagues in the Business and Clinical Affairs, and senior internal personnel as required to support their ask for strategic intelligence.Design and execute observational and economic research studies using real-world data, including insurance claims, registry, or EMR data, for clinical and/or pre-clinical product portfolio decisions, marketing, regulatory agency submissions, and product reimbursement strategies to drive patient access.Provide strategic input on the selection of patient populations, comparators, HEOR and patient reported outcomes within clinical trials to enable negotiations, reimbursement, and patient access with global payers and regulatory decision makers. Support the development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models by ensuring relevant data points are included and leveraging real-world data for inclusion if needed.You’re the right fit if:You’ve acquired 2+ years’ hands on work experience conducting health economic outcomes research, real world evidence studies, data analytics and claims data in the medical device, pharmaceutical, consulting, or academic environment.Your skills include SQL and a statistical programming language for data analysis and advanced statistical techniques (e.g., Stata, SAS, R, Python)You have an advanced degree (e.g., MS, MPH, or PhD), with a focus on health economics, statistics, health services research, epidemiology, economics, and/or medicine.You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .You are effective at summarizing and communicating complex information and business objectives in a concise and effective way to a diverse body of stakeholders.How we work togetherWe believe that we are better together than apart.
