We are hiring a Hospital Nurse Manager to oversee, manage, and implement nutrition and health projects in our Emergency Response are. In this role you will oversee distribution of pharmaceuticals and nutrition commodities to supported clinics, conduct capacity building and mentoring for health staff and the Samaritans Purse health and nutrition team, monitor and evaluate clinic implementation, and liaise with local government and Non-Governmental Organization partners. A day in the life of a Health and Nutrition Coordinator, Emergency Response:
In the role of Hospital Nurse Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Ensure daily field-level execution of Nutrition and Health programs a
- Oversee distribution of pharmaceuticals and nutrition commodities to pre-identified clinics and follows up to ensure proper use.
- ork with local health clinics to ensure capacity building of health teams on use, storage, and disposal of pharmaceuticals and nutrition commodities and reports on their use.
- Train, mentor, and build the technical capacity of Samaritans Purse health and nutrition staff.
- Conduct frequent visits to clinics, identifying gaps through appropriate check lists and working with health teams to remedy gaps identified.
- Work with health teams to identify appropriate health and nutrition messages to be passed to the local communities based on identified needs.
- Assist in the development of health and nutrition proposals and project budgets, monitors effectiveness and financial expenditures, and evaluates ongoing and new activities.
- Conduct field assessments, identify potential needs, design and implement response plans, and integrate them into program development.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Nursing Degree/diploma or clinical medicine qualifications from an accredited medical school with a valid practicing license and two (2) to three (3) years nursing or clinical experience. Two (2) to three (3) years experience in emergency health and nutrition programming preferred.
- One (1) to two (2) years experience in reproductive health, maternal health, new born health, vaccination and/or nutrition preferred. International experience preferred. Masters Degree in public health preferred. Experience in management, capacity building, and mentorship of health teams preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Health and Nutrition best practices.
- Working knowledge of inventory management and distribution best practices
- Working knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation and Program Management
- Strong organizational skills
- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to coordinate activities with other agencies, building and maintaining positive working relationships
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Travel Expectations: 100 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
