Job Overview:

The Driver is responsible for transporting IRC staff, visitors, documents and/or goods/materials to designated destinations when officially approved and permitted within an operational area, country and/or other location. 

Major Responsibilities:

– Transport IRC staff, visitors, documents and/or goods/materials to designated destinations when officially approved and permitted;
– Ensure the safety and security of the passengers, the goods and the vehicle;
– Immediately report accidents, breakdowns and needs of repair and general maintenance/service;
– Always respect the local traffic regulations and the IRC logistical/vehicle policies;
– Maintain the logbook for all trips;
– Always maintain the vehicle in proper operational condition, including keeping the vehicle clean, ensuring enough fuel, monitoring the technical state etc.;
– In liaison with the line manager, arrange for repairs and servicing;
– Ensure the assigned vehicle has all the necessary documents and equipment in accordance with the IRC logistical/vehicle policies at all times;

Job Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience from working as a Driver in a humanitarian/recovery context preferred;
• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts;
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities;
• Must be willing to short/long trips around Ukraine.

Language Requirements: Fluency in Ukrainian, Intermediate English, Russian as an asset.
