The Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island invites applications for a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering beginning Fall 2025. This is a non-tenure track position; initially it is for one academic year with anticipated academic year (9 months) renewals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory and intermediate electrical engineering courses and to teach and/or coordinate electrical engineering laboratory courses. This latter role will involve the training/supervision of graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants. The candidate may also be asked to teach introductory and intermediate computer engineering and/or biomedical engineering courses according to the department needs. Furthermore, new courses may be developed to align with the department’s curricular needs and future trends in electrical and computer engineering. The specific teaching assignments will vary based on departmental requirements and the candidate’s expertise.

The anticipated teaching load is 12 credits per semester.
