ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Teacher
Location: Newport
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £158-£180 per dayAbout the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled ALN Teacher to join our dedicated team in Newport. This role is perfect for an educator with a passion for supporting students with additional learning needs, fostering their academic and personal growth. The successful candidate will deliver tailored lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales, using creative strategies to meet each student’s individual needs and abilities, and promote an inclusive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to students with diverse learning needs.
• Implement strategies that support differentiation, accessibility, and student engagement.
• Assess, track, and report on students’ progress, providing targeted interventions to meet individual goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to enhance the learning experience and well-being of students.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom that fosters independence, confidence, and resilience in students.

About You:
We are looking for a qualified ALN Teacher who has experience working with students with additional learning needs and a thorough understanding of the Curriculum for Wales. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, empathetic, and committed to ensuring every student receives the support and encouragement they need to succeed.Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a background in supporting ALN students.
• Proven experience teaching students with additional learning needs, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and relevant ALN frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to individualised learning.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students.
