Overview:Element Digital Engineering is a leading provider of specialist engineering simulation, design, and consultancy support to clients across many industries – including Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Built Environment and Chemical Process – in the UK and internationally.We support our clients with systems engineering, design, performance verification, operational troubleshooting, and technical safety assessments using diverse tools ranging from experienced judgement and simple hand calculations to detailed simulation and numerical modelling.We are looking to recruit experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the continued growth and development of our Bristol Office.Responsibilities:As part of our team, you will play a central role in providing our clients with; design support and verification services, operational troubleshooting, and technical safety assessments. In addition to participating in technical delivery and client relationship management, you will support local team leaders in ensuring;
- Accurate resource forecasting and management;
- Engineering staff recruitment/retention and competency management;
- The development of a strong team culture and adherence to company values;
- Alignment of local engineering teams with strategic objectives and customer needs;
- Cross-functional collaboration to support the sustainable and profitable operation of the business
The position will be based in our Bristol office Skills / Qualifications:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree (grade 2.1 or above), Masters or PhD or in a relevant engineering, science or applied mathematics discipline.
- Have experience delivering engineering analysis in an engineering consultancy setting and an interest in supporting the development of junior team members and other leaders;
- Have excellent project management and verbal/written communication skills;
- Ideally be a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) or actively working towards chartership status;
- Have strong technical knowledge and experience in either thermofluids, structural integrity/durability, electromagnetics, data science, systems engineering, technical safety or technical software;
- Like a challenge, are flexible thinkers, and are not intimidated by unfamiliar problems;
- Enjoy client and colleague interaction, take responsibility for delivery, and want the opportunity to work within a growing and dynamic engineering team.
