RTX has an opening for an Associate Director, Data Governance Analyst (Associate Director, Business Systems and Transformation). We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Business Analyst to support a diverse portfolio within our RTX Enterprise Data Governance Office (DGO). Individual Contributor role. Remote Opportunity.

In this role you will be the front line of collaborating and communicating with internal customers about the RTX Data Strategy and Data Governance to align and drive teams toward common data goals. Including working closely with the DGO to build the future state roadmaps, delivering requirements for DG tools stack, and help business units achieve highest value.
The ideal candidate understands business processes and how data drives those processes, has a strong commitment to quality, is detail orientated and understands how to leverage data management tools plus the ability to link long term strategies to immediate tactical value delivery working in an agile environment that has the creative energy of a start-up and comprehensive benefits of a very large Defense and Aerospace industry leader.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Collaborate and align business teams to build data assets by acquiring the data from systems associate to prioritized domains
- Responsible for requirements capture from Corp, Business Units and Sub-Businesses Units.
- Responsible for ensuring the quality, availability, integrity and security of prioritized data assets by developing and implementing data standards, policies, and procedures
- Lead cross discipline discussions to harmonize requirements and practices across RTX teams for implementation of Data Governance
- Monitors and reports on data quality metrics and activities using data visualization tools
- Capture requirements for improved workflows and tooling capabilities
- Require meeting the scaled demands of Corp, Business Units and Sub-Business Units specific solutions
- Provide excellent customer service and support to end users and form productive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively
- Collaborates with business and IT stewards in building business glossary and metadata repository using the data management tooling available
- Contributes to the definition of data quality standards, business rules, and exception feedback loops using the Data Quality tools, Data Governance tools and reporting tools.
- Gathers business requirements and translates them into data solution specifications.
- Participates in change management activities required to fix data quality and process issues.
- Creates detailed documentation of functional, system, user and reporting requirements, including Use Cases, Process Flow Diagrams, Report Specifications and Data Mapping & Flow Diagrams.
- Display and be the advocate for the RTX Data Strategy
- Able to articulate the link of the strategy value of data management to the tactical delivery steps
- Travel up to 25% to 50%
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
- Typically a minimum of 12+ years’ experience in the data governance arena and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 10+ years’ related work experience.
- 7+ years’ deep understanding of data governance practices, and associated technologies understanding the specific data governance needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
- 10+ years’ proven experience with DG Framework establishment and enablement.
- Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
- Data management back in supplier, vendor, sourcing (SME).
- Proven experience in establishing and operationalizing data governance capabilities (not only maintaining).
- Experience with multiple ERP’s like SAP (S/4HANA), JDE or other.
- Experience with CRM applications like Oracle CRM, SAP CRM or Salesforce.
- Capable of switching PMO approaches between classical water fall and agile and Experience with ETL/ELT/API based Integration patterns for Data Services.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD – 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
