As a recognition of our commitment to quality and patient safety, we have received the highest distinction of Exemplary Standing from Accreditation Canada.Job SummaryReporting to the Manager, Organizational Development and Change, the Change Management Lead will lead change management planning of a major organizational initiativs. The Change Management Lead will interact with the Senior Leadership Team and Clinical, Operational and Medical Staff Leaders across the organization. The Change Management Lead will bring change management best practices to develop strategies and plans for communication, training and change adoption.As the Change Management Lead, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team. Southlake Regional Health Centre supports the initiatives of partner hospitals. Access to reliable transportation for travel to partner sites may be required. The ability to work off-hours and/or non-business hours may be required during critical implementation periods. The Change Management Lead position currently works on a flexible hybrid on-site / work-from-home model.Primary Responsibilities
- Create and/or review communication plans, sponsor roadmaps, coaching plans, training plans, resistance management plans and sustainability plans to support change management activities.
- Act as a coach for all levels of leaders to support their roles and help them through the change.
- Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics to manage anticipated resistance.
- Work with Project Management Leads to align change management plans and activities with the project work plan.
- Design, develop, implement, and manage change deliverables that will enable impacted users to transition successfully from the current state to the future state.
- Ensure patient safety and end-user impact are considered when implementing workflow and process changes.
- Collaborate to develop a go-live plan for user support.
- Evaluate and ensure user readiness prior to go-live.
- Define, measure success metrics and monitor change adoption and behaviour shifts.
- Prepare reports and presentations as required for leadership and committees.
- Continuously scan the environment for ideas, best practices and emerging trends linked to managing change.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Change management certification preferred.
- Coaching/facilitation certification preferred.
- Training or adult education certification preferred.
- Three to five years’ experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience in change management principles and methodology, including a solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process.
- Successful, proven track record with large-scale organizational change efforts.
- Experience with organizational change with the implementation of new technology and health information systems.
- Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal capabilities and work cross-functionally with other leaders on sensitive and/or emotional issues.
- Demonstrates conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrates creative thinking and flexibility by recommending solutions to improve overall quality and processes.
- Superior communication and people skills, including the ability to negotiate a positive outcome.
- Productive in a rapid and high-paced environment of multiple teams with competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in business management, statistics, analytics, and spreadsheet software such as Excel.
- Great organizational, project, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of inter-professional collaboration and education.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities.
- Ability to evaluate and assess each project closely to identify lessons learned and best practices for implementation in future projects
- Ability to perform duties professionally and courteously and produce high-quality work while meeting deadlines and budget in accordance with Southlake Regional Health Centre standards
