About the RoleThe Study Monitor and Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating Rheumatology/Musculoskeletal studies at the Centre for Experimental Medicine & Rheumatology (EMR), William Harvey Research Institute, QMUL, Charterhouse Square.The role will require the appointee to monitor CTIMPs in the UK and EU, overseeing the progress of the trials, and ensure they are conducted in accordance with the protocol, SOPs, GCP, and the applicable regulatory requirement(s). The role involves regular travel in the UK and EU.As study coordinator, you will be responsible for central coordination and governance activities such as site set up, submissions to Ethics Committees/HRA and database development of a number of QMUL sponsored studies.About YouThe successful candidate must hold an undergraduate degree in healthcare, biological sciences, or a related field. They should have experience in managing or monitoring sites participating in clinical trials. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that all research is conducted in accordance with GCP and maintaining oversight of the trials, coordinating trial committees, IMP management, pharmacovigilance reporting, data management, amendments, and progress reports.About the DepartmentEMR opened in May 2007 and is led by Professor Costantino Pitzalis. You will join a 60-strong research team dedicated to understanding the disease pathogenesis and improving the treatment of several musculoskeletal diseases including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome and Osteoarthritis. EMR is part of the newly awarded Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).
