Job DescriptionTHE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Manager to join a world-class, wear parts manufacturing and distribution company based in Edmonton. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategy. The Manager will oversee all aspects of marketing, including branding, advertising, digital marketing, product marketing, market research, and events. You will also work closely with the sales team to develop pricing and positioning strategies that maximize profitability and market share.   • Support the sales team to develop, maintain, and execute an annual category plan.
  • Create marketing material for the sales and marketing team for internal and external campaigns such as brochures, catalogue designs, website development, etc.
  • Create and prepare an inventory of all products and parts to ensure they are part of the sales and marketing campaign.
  • Develop reports and presentations on findings, create graphics to illustrate important information and translate complex findings and materials into easy-to-understand text.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to appeal to target audiences using appropriate channels such as email, social media and traditional media.
  • Brainstorm with other team to develop creative ideas for promotional events and campaigns and liaise with third-party vendors to execute successful events.
  • Develop means of measuring the effectiveness of marketing and promotional campaigns, including advertising and communications strategies.
  • Educate management about research findings and discuss proposals for branding and promoting products.
  • Report on category performance including sales and margin performance, variance analysis, sales forecast(s), sales trends, and plans to achieve budget.
  • Contribute to unit forecasting and inventory management effectiveness.
  • Develop, administer, and report on category promotions and manage annual promotional plan for assigned category.
  • Document vendor programs, product offerings, pricing, incentives, payment terms, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or mix of related marketing experience preferred. * 5+ years of proven experience as a Marketing Manager in a similar industry.

  • Strong user and proficiency in graphic design software and various marketing tools and platforms, such as Adobe Illustrator, Google Analytics, HubSpot, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in using EPICOR to create and manage marketing materials such as electronic brochures and catalogues as it relates to products, promotion and pricing would be an asset.

  • Skilled in designing and producing high-quality visuals, such as photos, videos, infographics, and animations, to showcase the brand’s products in an engaging and appealing way.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and techniques, especially in B2B and industrial markets, and market research methods.
  • Ability to propose, refine and sell ideas/programs to leaders within the company.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging content for different audiences and purposes and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Leadership, management, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Passionate, driven, and results-oriented, with a flair for creativity and innovation, and a data-driven approach to optimize marketing performance and improve customer satisfaction.
