Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher (Years 7-9)

Position Type: Full-time, PermanentAre you a passionate and dedicated teacher with a heart for making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? We are seeking an SEN Teacher to join our specialist school, teaching students in Years 7 to 9 who are working at an Early Years level. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver a highly personalized curriculum that inspires and empowers learners.Your Role
- Design and deliver engaging, creative lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Create and implement individualized learning plans (ILPs) to support academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of support staff and therapists to foster an inclusive and nurturing environment.
- Use innovative communication and developmental strategies to enhance social skills and interaction.
- Regularly assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet their evolving needs.
- Work in partnership with parents and carers to provide continuity and support for each child’s learning journey.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN teaching.
- A strong understanding of developmental delays and effective strategies for teaching learners working at an Early Years level.
- Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for delivering a bespoke curriculum.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in SEN, Autism, or Early Childhood Education.
- Experience with sensory integration techniques or augmentative communication tools.
