- Position: History Graduate Academic Mentor
- Qualifications: Must hold a degree in History
- Academic Requirements: A 1st or 2:1 degree is preferred
- Experience: Prior experience is welcome but not essential—what matters is your passion for the subject and working with young people
History Graduate Academic Mentor | Job Role
- Earn £465-500 per week in a full-time, long-term role (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm)
- Support students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, utilizing your expertise to guide them toward academic success in History
- Work within a school that’s been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, where high standards and a positive environment are key
- Participate in a bespoke professional development scheme designed to build your skills in education
- Assist in general classroom support, lead small group and 1:1 sessions, and provide pastoral care
- Benefit from opportunities to transition into fully paid teacher training by September 2025
In this role, you will have the chance to forge strong relationships with your students, using your degree to encourage their passion for history. You will be instrumental in helping them achieve academic excellence, guiding them from Year 7 to Year 11.Your influence will go beyond academic mentoring — you will inspire students to consider history related careers as a future path, sharing your enthusiasm and dedication to the subject.This position is ideal for graduates who are passionate about history and are considering a long-term career in education.
