Join us on our journey to build a sustainable future, together.What You’ll Be DoingUnder the supervision and direction of the operations supervisor, the successful candidate will be required to undertake activities to maintain the site, including but not limited to:
- Maintain cleanliness of the site by regularly cleaning work areas and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Prepare work areas for daily operations, ensuring that all necessary materials and tools are ready and accessible.
- Operate small mobile equipment, such as tractors, and winders, to assist in site operations and material handling.
- Support various tasks as needed to facilitate site operations.
- Picking litter in and around the site.
- Snow removal and de-icing activities.
- The candidate would be required to work outside, exposed to the elements (cold, heat, wind, rain…) at the Niagara Organics Locations at the Walker Environmental Campus in Niagara.
Work Schedules
- This position typically requires the candidate to work 9 hr days Monday to Fridays between the hours of 6:00 am to 5:00 pm but can require longer hours per week with a maximum of 60 hours per week depending on site and/or weather conditions
- This position may require extended working hours on Saturdays when needed dependent on-site needs and/or weather conditions
Here’s What you Need
- The candidate is required to hold a valid G licence with a clean driver abstract.
- Required to use small tractors/skid steer, water truck and a tarp winder and other equipment.
