We are looking for talented, curious, and energetic Software Engineers in Test (SDET) who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Visa SDET, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of cutting-edge payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.The Work itself:

  • Design, code and test systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.
  • Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value added service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads.
  • Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions.
  • Act as a testing expert for your squad, advising on and implementing best in class test automation allied to creative testing approaches that ensure high quality releases
  • Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by team), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

  • Testing expert. Able to assess and communicate risk, adept at coming up with thoughtful, context driven testing approaches to facilitate high quality releases
  • Hands-on experience in Test automation frameworks and technologies like RestAssured, TestNG
  • Expertise in various testing methodologies
  • Solid experience in tools like Gatling, JMeter, SoapUI, Postman / Any REST Client
  • Knowledge of back-end Java code development or equivalent language
  • Ability to develop and utilize APIs
  • Knowledge of database software
  • Knowledge of systems integration
  • Knowledge of data structures
  • Strong experience in software automation methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience in Spring Framework
  • Hands on experience in distributed architecture & data streaming approaches like Kafka
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, problem solving and complexity analysis
  • Strong designing, analytical, programming & communication skills
  • Experience with web services standards and related technologies
  • Demonstrable experience utilizing object-oriented patterns and design best practices
  • Experience working with a variety of Application Servers and Databases such as Tomcat and Oracle
  • Knowledge in micro services and hands-on experience on container platforms like Kuber-netes, Docker and OpenShift
  • Knowledge on Performance analysis tools like Riverbed and Monitoring tools like Splunk and Opera
  • Experience developing, deploying and testing Cloud applications eg AWS, GCP
  • Some experience in front end or full stack would be useful – javaScript, React etc
