Start Date Jan 2025Academic Appointments, in partnership with a Secondary school in Sheffield S20, are looking for talented, creative, and enthusiastic individuals to be positive role models for students.Our Behaviour Support Workers are given an opportunity to make a positive impact on some of the most at-risk children in the area and to provide support for these children to progress to the next stages of their education.Who are we looking for?A successful candidate would:

  • Have experience in an educational setting either in mainstream schools or any other alternative provision.
  • A history of working with students with challenging behaviour.
  • A confident, caring, and assertive personality

What to expect?

  • Working in these settings requires patience, confidence, and a caring attitude as many of these students have difficult social, emotional, and mental health issues which need to be managed.
  • Many of the students will have difficulties in displaying these emotions in a productive way so the use of Team Teach positive behaviour management strategies will need to be used often.
  • Many of these children have low self esteem and will require positive re enforcement from you when they display good behaviours.

What we need from you:

  • To be currently available for full time employment.
  • 2x references.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to obtain one (we can assist with this part).
  • Team teach Positive behaviour management certificate preferred but not essential.
