About the roleApplications are invited for a Lecturer in Statistics. We are looking for candidates with research expertise in the broad area of Statistics.About usThe School is part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, which comprises five schools and two institutes. The Faculty’s student population has grown in recent years, both within the UK and overseas, and its research profile has strengthened considerably.The School has large and popular undergraduate and graduate programmes, and aims to continue to expand its research profile as well as its study programmes across both UG and PGT. The School is undergoing an organisational change, and will be organised into 5 Centres. This position will be based in the Centre for Data Science, Statistics and Probability.The School comprises 85 academic staff and teaching fellows, 16 research assistants and 14 members of professional services staff. The School is home to around 80 PhD students, and approximately 1,000 undergraduates and 100 master level students.About youAs the successful candidate, you will have strong leadership qualities and an interest in pursuing excellence in teaching and supervising graduate students, as well as having the ability and flexibility to teach across a range of topics in statistics and its applications at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
