Student assistant (project research and admin)

The preferred starting date is 1st February 2025. This position can be filled from our headquarters in Rostock or remotely.

Your responsibilities

  • You’ll support BaltCF’s work by doing research to help with the assessment of funding applications as well as for projects developed by BaltCF itself.
  • You’ll keep track of ongoing and recently finished nature conservation projects in the Baltic Sea Region.
  • You’ll support us with administrative tasks and with the digitalization of our remaining physical documents.
  • We can adjust your responsibilities, depending on your qualifications and interests.

Your qualifications

  • You are passionate about the Baltic Sea and its unique and vulnerable ecosystem.
  • You are pursuing a degree in a relevant field, either one related directly to ecology (biology, marine biology, landscape ecology or similar) or one with a sustainability focus or minor. A Bachelor’s degree is no precondition, but an asset.
  • You are professionally proficient (at least C1) in English and German. Knowledge of other languages spoken in the Baltic Sea region is not a precondition, but an asset.
  • You’re based in Germany and have permission to work.
  • Ideally, you have a broad understanding of the Baltic Sea area not only in the ecological, but also in the political and cultural sense.
