BORDERS GENERAL HOSPITALENDOSCOPY DEPARTMENT/PH SCREENING OFFICE, RESIDENCIES, BGHGI NURSE SPECIALIST-CRUK PROJECTFIXED TERM FOR ONE YEAR FROM 06/01/2025-31/12/2025, 37 HOURS/WEEKAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Nurse within the CRUK Test, Evidence, Transition colorectal cancer project.This is an opportunity to work as part of the small local project delivery team for a 12-month period. You will be based within NHS Borders Endoscopy Department and Public Health Department Screening Team.We are looking for a nurse with excellent knowledge, skills and experience around bowel cancer, endoscopy/colonoscopy and the use of TrakCare. The post will involve working with patients who are on the bowel cancer high-risk surveillance list, carrying out clinical reviews and interventions to validate and triage patients for colonoscopy.A Data Facilitator, Research Project Support, Project Manager, supports this post and the post-holder will also participate in the local Governance Group as well as liaising with CRUK and academic partners appointed to the project to carry out evaluation.The shift pattern is Monday-Friday, day shifts.For informal enquiries please contact Wendy Kirkpatrick at**PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept late applications so please ensure your application is submitted early***
