Description
We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The role is a short term contract employment opportunity within the service industry. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your main duty will be to manage our accounts payable by processing invoices and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process a high volume of invoices in a timely manner
• Provide hands-on management of full-cycle accounts payable
• Use Accounts Payable (AP), QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel regularly to maintain and update records
• Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Conduct training for new staff members or existing staff as needed
• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed correctly and efficiently
• Maintain meticulous customer credit records
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Demonstrable experience with QuickBooks software
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage and process invoices and payments accurately
• Proven experience in service industry
• Ability to handle confidential information in a detail oriented and discreet manner
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
