We are currently recruiting a Food Security and Livelihoods Coordinator to join our Programs team in Sudan.
This is an office-based position in Darfur, Sudan.

About the Opportunity
RI currently operates in seven states (Blue Nile, Al Jazirah, Khartoum, Red Sea, Gedaref, Sennar and North Darfur) and soon expanding to more states, with a focus on the four RI sector pillars: Health, WASH, FSL, Nutrition, and Protection.
The Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) Coordinator will serve as the technical lead on all FSL-related activities within Sudan, ensuring quality program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The role requires strong expertise in business development, MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning), program implementation, quality assurance, cluster and external representation, and safeguarding practices.
Your Responsibilities
This role includes the following responsibilities.
- Business Development: Lead the design and development of high-quality FSL proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organizational priorities.
- MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning): Work with the MEAL team to develop and oversee the implementation of FSL-specific MEAL plans, including setting indicators and benchmarks.
- Program Implementation: Provide technical guidance and support to FSL teams to ensure effective and timely implementation of activities.
- Cluster/External Representation: Represent the organization in FSL cluster meetings, working groups, and other coordination forums at national and state levels.
- Safeguarding: Ensure FSL programs integrate safeguarding principles, including gender equity and child protection.
About You
You will bring the following experience and skills.
- Advanced degree in Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Substantial progressive experience in food security and livelihood programming, with experience in a technical lead role in an international organization
- Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, FSL standards, and donor requirements.
- Proven experience in business development and proposal writing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Experience with MEAL systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in external representation.
- Fluency in English
- Experience with SHF, ECHO and BHA projects is an added advantage
- Previous experience in Sudan and/ related contexts is an added advantage
