Job Description:We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to carry out a research project to develop and test new methods to make immune-cold colorectal cancer responsive to immunotherapy.The Opportunity:A Cancer Research Horizons funded postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr Kevin Myant ( ). The project aims to develop and test new methods of targeting RNA splicing with the aim of activating immune responses in immune-cold colorectal cancer. The project will use patient derived human organoid models, long read mRNA sequencing and immunopeptidomics to determine how cancer cells respond to RNA splicing disruption. We will utilise this data to develop novel therapeutic approaches to enhance the efficacy of immunotherapies in this disease.The post is full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for 18 months with the potential for extension based on the meeting of key objectives. Would be ideally suited to a researcher wanting to bridge academic and translation/industry related research.   • A PhD (or near completion) in cancer biology or a related biomedical field
  • Previous evidence of successful project completion, in particular first author publications
  • Experience working with organoid culture systems
  • Bioinformatic experience, in particular RNAseq analysis or experience of long read technologies
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly
