Job PurposeAs a Learning Advisor supporting the Business Banking division, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the learning and development landscape within this business unit. Reporting to the Director of Talent and Organizational Learning, you’ll collaborate with internal clients and business lines to design and deliver effective learning programs and solutions focused on Commercial, Business and Small Business Banking. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications:Accountabilities
- Needs Assessment and Solution Design:
- Consult with internal stakeholders to assess learning needs.
- Develop customized learning programs and solutions based on cognitive and adult learning theory.
- Identify suitable external programs when necessary.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning transfer and demonstrate business impact.
- Instructional Design and Content Development:
- Gain a deep understanding of our business operations.
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
- Provide guidance on various learning solutions (e.g., e-learning, instructor-led workshops).
- Apply adult learning principles to enhance retention and transfer of knowledge.
- Optimization and Compliance:
- Present recommendations to optimize learning programs and services.
- Ensure all developed products and services adhere to best practices and quality standards.
- Facilitate both virtual and in-person learning sessions, managing the learning environment effectively.
- Evaluation and Metrics:
- Review and analyze evaluation feedback to improve learning solutions.
- Provide enhanced metrics demonstrating the impact of learning initiatives.
- Vendor Management and Technology Trends:
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Stay informed about educational technology trends.
- Research vendors, products, and services to recommend effective learning solutions.
Sills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Approximately 5+ years in a comparable role. Experience in Commercial, Business or Small business banking is an asset.
- Instructional Design Tools: Demonstrate proficiency in tools such as Articulate, Vyond, and Camtasia.
- Learning Management System (LMS) Knowledge: Understanding of LMS functionality.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to perform research, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
- Creativity: Demonstrated experience in creating diverse learning materials (audio, video, e-learning, simulations, etc.).
- Communication Skills: Strong editing, writing, and critical reasoning abilities.
- Collaboration: Ability to maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of clients.
- Commitment to Learning: Demonstrates a continuous commitment to personal and professional development.
