Anyon Systems is a quantum computing company located in the Greater Montreal Region and with presence in Waterloo, Ontario. We work at the cutting edge of technology to develop and commercialise superconducting quantum computers. The company is rapidly growing and has both hardware and software groups to achieve its R&D goals.You will be working within our Quantum Hardware Team, a team of engineers and scientists dedicated to the design, fabrication, and testing of novel superconducting quantum processors. You will collaborate closely with other teams when required. In this role, you will draw on your strong expertise as well as as your critical thinking and obsession for documentation.If you are a self-starter, team player, have the hunger to venture into unknown areas, are results oriented and work cohesively within the team. Join us!RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptual design and simulation of novel superconducting quantum circuits;
  • Produce circuit layout and further validate using Anyon Systems design toolkit;
  • Communicate results with other members of the team;
  • Produce design reports and documentation pertaining to the nanofabrication processes in collaboration with the nanofab team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate degree in physics or electrical engineering (preferably a PhD) with strong research background in experimental or theoretical quantum information theory;
  • Postdoctoral research experience is a significant asset;
  • Experience with programming in C++ and/or Python;
  • Experience with microwave engineering concepts or quantum optics;
  • Experience with design validation using simulation toolkits such as FEM;Experience working with nanofabrication using superconducting materials is an asset;
  • Experience with superconducting quantum circuits and/or superconducting qubits is a significant asset.
