We are seeking a talented, energetic students to join the operations team in our Milton location as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op. The objective of the Manufacturing Engineering Co-op is to assist the Production Manager and the Production Department with manufacturing related issues. You will have duties such as:Develop, create, review, modify, and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production jobs on the shop floor.Develop, create, review, modify, and maintain all Safe Work Procedures (SOPs) for production jobs on the shop floor.Develop, create, review, modify, and maintain all Production Checklists for production jobs on the shop floor.Maintains Document Management System for all Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) in alignment with SEMP numbering system.Conduct time studies in alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work procedures (SWPs).Develop, create, and maintain Value Stream Maps (VSM) for manufacturing process to identify continuous improvement opportunities.Ensures personnel work and behave in accordance with established procedures, guidelines and OHSA regulations.Other job tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.At the end of your assignment, you will have the opportunity to share information about your experience with other students and with ROCKWOOL management.What you bring:Enrollment in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering program from an accredited universitySelf-motivating, and initiative drivenAbility to multi-task multiple tasks and projectsAbility to build relationships through teamwork among peers, and departmentsGood problem solving skillsExposure to lean manufacturing concepts, and methodologiesGood computer skills and competence in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).What we offer:Competitive PayPaid Holidays during assignmentCampus Connection ProgramVacation accrualWho we are:Founded in 1937 in Denmark, ROCKWOOL transforms volcanic rock into sustainable, innovative products that improve lives and communities.
