With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono continues its expansion, reinforcing its position as a leader in the charter flight industry in Quebec and Canada.Role and contextThe Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of operational quality, safety, and compliance within the airline’s flight operations department. This role focuses on evaluating operational procedures, supporting the safety management system (SMS), and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.Key responsibilities
- Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and regulations.
Create and update audit checklists.
- Review manual amendments for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze trends and feedback to identify safety or efficiency improvements.
- Support SMS through investigations, risk assessments, and safety meetings.
- Maintain accurate records and report findings to management.
- Participate in BARS and other internal or external audits, ensuring thorough evaluation of flight operations and compliance with industry standards.
- Support the development and execution of risk assessments within the flight operations department.
Key skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting and coordination.
- Effective time management to prioritize tasks and meet audit schedules.
- Capable of working autonomously.
Specific job requirements
- Prior experience in the aviation industry is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with civil aviation regulations is essential 703/704/705.
- A certification in quality assurance is a valuable addition.
- Project management experience is advantageous.
- Office work, with the possibility of occasional travel.
- Need for availability outside of business hours in case of operational needs.
- Close collaboration with the operational and maintenance teams.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and civil aviation regulations.
