Job Summary
Robert Half is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our client’s team in West Chicago, IL. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with an hourly rate of $21.00. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing accurate information about products or services.

Order Management: Process customer orders, updates, and account changes in a timely and accurate manner.

Issue Resolution: Proactively investigate and resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, and billing concerns while maintaining a positive customer experience.

Data Entry: Accurately input customer information, order details, and issue resolutions into internal systems.

Communication: Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat professionally and promptly.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, such as sales, shipping, and billing, to ensure seamless service delivery.

Follow-Ups: Track customer cases and follow up on unresolved issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, and complaints for reporting and analysis purposes.

Support Processes: Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and share feedback with management.
Requirements
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional training or coursework in customer service is a plus.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or call center role preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with CRM or ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk) is a plus.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a customer-first attitude.

Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Teamwork: Collaborative and dependable with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
