Position: ICT Officer
Reports to: Support Coordinator
Supervision of: ICT Technical Assistant
Category and level: Grade 5, Step 1
Duty station: Sittwe
Travel: 25%

- Role and responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan.
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
- General ICT maintenance support for Area Office
- Technical support for ICT equipment procurement
- Regular update of asset and inventory for Area Office
- Filing trees administration for Myanmar NRC
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
IT Management and security
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Follow up on regular maintenance of NRC ICT equipment and network in Rakhine Area Office.
- Proper monitoring and maintenance procedures, including maintenance agreements for ISP service providers.
- Record and maintain electronic devices and IT equipment, including regular service, and problem shooting and Ensure maintenance and repair of technical equipment including scanner, photocopier, etc.
- Support and provide the ICT related training for Rakhine Area Office
- Ensure that communication equipment functions in accordance with the Security Guidelines.
- Coordinate for the creation of new e-mail addresses in coordination with HR department.
- Provide technical support as per request from Field Office (Maungdaw)
- Identify and advise on IT and equipment needs, including obtaining quotations and recommendations for procurement and participating in the procurement processes of ICT equipment if necessary
- Monitor and Support physical asset checks of Rakhine Area offices.
- Support in ensuring that all newly purchased ICT items are registered in NRC asset inventory list.
- Coordination with CO office ICT Colleagues to get update technical support or new changes of NRC globalize standard guidelines / instruction.
- Coordinate with supervisor for ICT budget planning as require
- Assisting in any other operational need that might be requested by line Supervisor(s).

- 2 years’ experience from working as an ICT Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

- Fluency in English

- Timely delivery of ICT service upon request
