This is a warm and welcoming primary school committed to nurturing young learners and helping them achieve their full potential. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team and provide engaging, high-quality education for their pupils.Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Prepare pupils for their transition to Key Stage 2.
  • Contribute to school life through extracurricular activities and events.

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Education or a related subject
  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 2
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A passion for working with young children and helping them thrive
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
