Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the Manufacturing industry located in VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks related to customer service in line with our company’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process credit applications from customers
• Uphold precise records of customer credit
• Respond to inquiries and requests from customers and key accounts regarding our standard products, prices, and services.
• Create and manage files and reminders for follow-up actions with customers to ensure an exceptional level of customer service
• Support the Customer Service Manager as per necessity
• Stay up-to-date with changes in policies, procedures, and product offerings, ensuring compliance
• Determine the optimal freight carrier for routing
• Prepare and process quotes, conversion of quotes to orders, and up-sell of products (accessories and parts)
• Apply discounts and commissions based on company schedules
• Liaise with various teams including Sales, Credit Department, Engineering, Production, and Warehouse on behalf of key accounts and customers
• Maintain accurate customer information, including names, addresses, etc.
• Enter orders received from customers, reviewing them for price, delivery, payment terms, carrier, freight, billing and shipping address, item description, tax status, and part numbers
• Prepare necessary shipping documents
• Initiate credit application process for the credit department and handle credit card orders
• Process all sales orders and upsell of products (accessories/parts)
• Prepare sales returns/credit memos for credit card sales, and issue returned goods authorizations
• Communicate order reports to relevant parties
• Manage quote log
• Communicate with Sales through the company’s CRM tool
• Participate in standard product training
• Provide backup support to reception
• Assist the Marketing team with information/Sales leads. Requirements • Proficiency in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
• Familiarity with Epic Software is preferred
• Ability to effectively handle and answer inbound calls
• Demonstrated experience in assisting customers with queries and concerns
• Previous experience in a customer service role within the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is a plus TalentMatch®
