Job summaryAn opportunity has arisen for an HCPC registered Clinical Scientist to provide support to the Treatment Planning aspects of the Radiotherapy Physics Service at Singleton Hospital.Appointment at a lower band will be considered for candidates currentlyenrolled on STP, Route 2 or EquivalenceMain duties of the jobThe main role of this post is to provide advanced support to all aspects of the work of the Radiotherapy Physics Service and undertake specialist clinical and scientific activities in support of the provision of high-quality, advanced radiotherapy treatments.The post will provide the holder with continuing opportunities to progress within the field of Radiotherapy Physics leading to recognition as a Medical Physics Expert. The post holder will at times be assigned to specific projects managed by a Principal/Consultant Clinical Scientist and will contribute to relevant research and development projects within Radiotherapy Planning, preparing and presenting scientific reports. Research and development is a significant commitment of this post, accounting typically for at least 10% of the time.
