Assistant Conservation Officer

About the Role

We are excited to announce a new position within our organisation for an Assistant Conservation
Officer. This role presents a unique opportunity to join our dedicated team and contribute to
our conservation services, with a special emphasis on our successful Adopt a Box Scheme and
Landowner Conservations Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the conservation of various bird of prey species, including:
  • Barn Owls, Tawny Owls, Little Owls, Kestrels, Peregrines
• Assist in the management and expansion of our Adopt a Box Scheme
• Collaborate with landowners to enhance conservation efforts
• Participate in field work and data collection
• Contribute to educational and outreach programs
• Work on and with our existing Staff at Shapwick Moor National Nature Reserve in Somerset.

Qualifications

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with:

• A passion for wildlife conservation, particularly birds of prey
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Physical fitness for fieldwork
• A good level of computer skills
