It is among the top in the world for midwifery and palliative care research and education and also has strong research programmes in digital health care, care in long term conditions and participatory methodologies.We are now looking for an outstanding academic to join us to take a leading role in the statistical aspects of clinical trials and other epidemiological research studies relevant to populations with complex health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join an interdisciplinary environment, with the opportunity to work across the distinctive expertise of the Faculty, in particular palliative care, holistic care in long term conditions and digital health innovations. The postholder will also work closely with the central King’s Clinical Trials Unit, enabling the postholder to collaborate with our other Health disciplines.The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a track record of high-quality publications, including evidence of securing major grant funding. They will contribute to interdisciplinarity, developing collaborative structures and working relationships with statisticians and epidemiologists across King’s. In doing so they will raise the profile of statistics and epidemiology in the Faculty nationally and internationally, and contribute to the growth and development of others in the Faculty through mentoring and post-graduate teaching.Applicants must have a PhD, an excellent publication record, and a strong track record of securing research funding from funders such as the UKRI and NIHR.
