You will be a visionary expert in translational science, with the ability to execute a successful strategy to deliver the progression of Amphista’s portfolio of therapeutics.Requirements:Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to project teams and the R&D leadership team, enabling the development and execution of translational strategies to support the progression of Amphista’s portfolio of novel differentiation therapeutics
  • Partner with project teams to identify and establish disease biomarkers to support decision making in the clinical development programs. This will include the identification and validation of biomarkers of target engagement/pharmacodynamics, disease processes/mechanisms, patient stratification, and clinical response prediction.
  • Implement validated biomarkers in First in Human and Proof of Concept clinical trials in oncology, including data interpretation, by working with internal stakeholders and external providers such as clinical CROs
  • Establish and maintain strategic collaborations with academic institutions, CROs and other external partners to access cutting-edge technologies, tools, reagents, bio-samples, biomarker expertise, and research capabilities.
  • Build and maintain a network of external experts to stay at the cutting edge of biomarker advancements in the diseases of relevance to Amphista’s therapeutic portfolio

Experience

  • Extensive experience in translational science and biomarker development in biotech or pharma industry
  • Extensive understanding of oncology and a working understanding of hematological oncology
  • Experience in translational/biomarkers implementation in the clinical setting, underpinned by a broad knowledge of technologies and methods used in translational research
  • Proven track record of implementing biomarker strategies through external service providers and delivering translational science insights to support drug development
  • Experience leading/managing external collaborations and maintaining relationships with diverse external service providers and expert advisors
  • Familiarity with bioinformatic/computational methods used in integrated analysis and interpretation of translational and clinical biomarker-related data sets.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, best practices and compliance considerations in translational research and biomarker development and validation.
  • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline
