Job description

Reporting to the Inventory Coordinator, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing inventory-related data, problem solving, making improvement recommendations, and creating replenishment requisitions. You will ensure inventory optimization, in terms of service level versus inventory and logistics costs, for Nunavut mining operations and projects. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Guide, communicate and collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory is available for end users at the lowest logistic costs to the business;
  • Support the implementation of the Canadian Inventory Standard and related processes/procedures;
  • Coordinate efforts to drive inventory reduction/management strategies in collaboration with other departments;
  • Analyze current inventory position based on the requirements and formulate data driven conclusions and actions;
  • Inspect the levels of inventories, identify shortages, and implement corrective actions;
  • Use JD Edwards to monitor demand and document/update characteristics of inventory parameters;
  • Place orders in JD Edwards to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or surplus;
  • Coordinate with site warehouse team to identify and address obsolete inventory, low moving items, overstock parts, and critical parts;
  • Perform tests on ERP systems, recommend improvements to procedures, and prepare appropriate reports related to inventory;
  • Update inventory management department documentation, as required;
  • Problem solves using root cause analysis methods by gathering the necessary data from multiple sources and drive improvements based on the findings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;
  • Experience as an Inventory Analyst;
  • Experience working with JD Edwards purchasing system (JDE);
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills;
  • Strong sense of autonomy, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts and financial acumen;
  • Excellent ability to adapt to change, ease of learning and to work in a team;
  • Mining experience considered an asset;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & PowerBI.

Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A combination of tele-working with presence at our offices in either Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Mirabel, QC. Occasional visits to site may also be required (up to 10% of the time, including to Nunavut based mine sites).
