Description

Robert Half is recruiting a strong Controller Consultant for a Distribution / Manufacturing company in the Los Angeles area. The consultant will lead the month-end close process, review and approve general ledger entries, and ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled. In addition, the consultant will help with some FP& A functions including budget vs actuals. This role will be located onsite 5 days a week in the east LA, CA area.

Technical Skills:

• Full cycle accounting experience (AR, AP, GL, Financial analysis)

• Accruals, allocations, reconciliations

-Knowledge of SAGE 100 or similar software ( Netsuite ERP good to have)

Soft Skills:

• Ability to understand business processes quickly

• Communicates effectively with various levels within the organization

  Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years+ of experience in a Controller or similar role within the Paper/Packaging industry ( ideal)

• Proven expertise in Month End Close procedures

• Demonstrated skills in Financial Reporting

• Proficiency in managing General Ledger

• Experience in Reviewing Journal Entries

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with using Sage 100 software for financial management
