Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with delivering engaging lessons in history, geography, and other humanities subjects
- Support students on a one-on-one or small group basis, helping them to grasp key concepts and improve their academic skills
- Help create and prepare lesson materials that foster critical thinking and student engagement
- Encourage students to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills through the study of humanities topics
- Track student progress and provide feedback to support their development
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and inspired
- Assist with classroom management and ensuring students remain on task and engaged
Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant Key Requirements:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in a Humanities-related field (such as History, Geography, Politics, Sociology, or a related subject)
- A passion for teaching and supporting students in their learning
- Previous experience working with students (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to helping students
- A genuine desire to pursue a career in education, particularly in the humanities
