Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gathers information in order to initiate a service or provides a service to internal and/or external customers.

  • Listens to and makes an initial attempt to handle complaint.

  • Seeks supervisory assistance when unable to resolve a complaint.

  • Enters data into a database management system.

  • Notifies appropriate personnel when planned or unplanned activities occur.

  • Receives routine and emergency service requests; forwards messages to service provider. When directed, issues and closes out work orders. May be direct contact to contractors that provide specialty services not rendered by university staff.

  • Maintains and produces reports regarding activity.

  • Records service request information on designated documents and logs.

  • Sets up files and files documents.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. One year of customer service experience.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
